Watch: Pakistan Cricket Fans Body shame wicketkeeper batsman Azam Khan during 2nd T20I against Afghanistan went viral

Stars for Pakistan Cricket doesn’t seem to favor them these days as Men in Green lost  back to back two T20I match  against Afghanistan.

There has been extreme criticism on each and every player representing Pakistan in the ongoing series against Afghanistan and the criticism went to next level when one fan body shame fellow Pakistan wicket keeper batsman not just for his performance but due to his overweight.

In these days of social media, the expression given by a fellow Pakistan fan body-shaming and criticising Azam Khan based on his motions was captured on camera. As a result, it quickly attracted notice and went viral.

This attitude towards Azam Khan has drawn criticism from some Pakistani journalists and supporters.

It all began when Azam Khan was cheaply dismissed after only facing a few deliveries in his first two games. His performance with the willow and wicket-keeping suffered as a result, and some speculated that his excess weight may have contributed to his disastrous displays with both the willow and gloves.

However skipper Shadab Khan defended young wicket-keeper batsman stating that it is his first series and he will learn with the passage of time.

“It was a good score. We were struggling again. If you look at stats, if you lose 3 wickets in powerplay, you lose 70 percent of the games. I think there’s nervousness – they’re playing for the first time for Pakistan (the new batters). We have to back them. Sometimes you don’t perform but attitude matters. That’s more important for me. They have talent. They will be great cricketers. Will play for pride tomorrow,” said Shadab in Post match ceremony after losing back to back games in 2nd T20I.

Frankly if you analyze first two games, Pakistan batted first but didn’t score a formidable total considering today’s context of game in mind which Afghanistan eventual chased down the targets on both occasions quite easily.

Pakistan has send their B team instead of A team as they are trying to experiment and see how much talent Men in Green possess in their arsenal.
