The triumphant U-19 Indian Women’s team returned to the capital City after making history and being written down. The magnitude of their achievement and the grandeur of their remarkable exploits during the World Cup were unprecedented.

Their World Cup victory was also the Indian Cricket Board’s World Cup victory, and the players were greeted warmly upon their return. Fans gathered in large numbers early today at Delhi’s IGI Airport, carrying Dhol and flowers. Fans demonstrated their love and support for the squad.

India defeated England in the World Cup final to win it, and they did so in a pretty commanding way. The Blues gave a thorough performance both with the ball and the bat. First, they bowled England out for 68 runs in 17 overs, with at least one wicket being taken by each bowler.

Star Batter Shweta Sehrawat made a lot of news during the tournament due to her stellar performances with the Bat. Shweta slammed 297 runs in the tournament and had a perfect average of 99.00. Her Batting average is perhaps one of the best ever recorded in ICC events.

She also registered 3 half-centuries and her best performance came against host nation South Africa as she scored 92 in 57 deliveries. For her and India’s welcome, the players’ family members and family turned up in numbers and played Dhol (Traditional instrument) and also showered the team with flowers.
