Watch: Football commentator Peter Drury acknowledge cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle as his Hero

Two of the world’s best sports commentators, Peter Drury of Football and Harsha Bhogle of Cricket are inching closer to a one-on-one meet when the renowned voice of world cricket travels to London for the ICC World Test Championship Final at Oval from 7th onwards.

For a fact it could turn out to be a fan moment for not just them but us too. As we have seen in the past, when 2 different sports personalities meet each other it often drives their fan bases crazy, thus expect something very similar. Only a few days ago during the F1 Monaco Grand Prix, some of the world’s best as well as former sports persons gathered together under one roof.

The likes of Yuvraj Singh, Maria Sharapova and Brazil’s star footballer Neymar were there to see Max Verstappen win the 8th GP of the year. And in a few days time, we will be getting to see Harsha Bhogle and Peter Drury have a chat and fans are eagerly waiting for this unexpected union.

Over the years, Harsha Bhogle has been serving as the Voice of Indian cricket and world cricket. The Hyderabad born commentator began his cricket commentary journey since 19-years of age. He has been heard and seen commenting during countless Cricket World cup games.

Most recently he was seen during the IPL 2023 Final and he was the one who made MS Dhoni reveal his plans for next year’s IPL edition. Peter Drury on the other hand is considered as the best Football commentator. When Drury talks you have to listen.

It doesn’t seem as if he commentates but it rather sounds as if someone is reciting a Poem. The magic in the words of Peter Drury often gives goosebumps and the Poet of football recently disclosed that Harsha Bhogle was his Hero.

Drury confirms he will meet his Hero Harsha Bhogle next week!

In a video posted on Twitter, Drury can be seen talking about Harsha Bhogle on being asked about their meeting by the host. “Harsha Bhogle, the voice of Cricket, so there’s been many Twitter conversations, i’m being told he is very keen for this to happen?”

“I think we are gonna meet in London next week, can’t wait, I can’t wait he’s my hero.” – Peter Drury replied.
