After 3 successful editions of the Khelo India Youth games, the premier multi-sport tournament is back for its 3rd edition after a year’s wait. The tournament which started in 2018 could not take place in 2021 and 2022. The 4th edition promises to bring forth more and more talented youth players and the competition will be more competitive than ever.

Ahead of the 4th season taking place at Madhya Pradesh, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur became a part of the Grand opening ceremony of the Khelo India games 2022. Jammu and Kashmir’s LG, Manoj Sinha was also present alongside Thakur as they launched the mascot, theme song and the Jerseys.

The annual National level winter games will begin from 10th of February and conclude in 14th. Recently, during the National budget, Khelo India games were given a budget of 1000 Crore which is the highest ever and it is 26 Cr more than last year’s sum.

More than 1000 athletes will take part in this mega event from across all parts of India and lock horns in 9 different sports. From Football to Basketball, Badminton to swimming and Thang-ta to Mallakhamb, the Khelo India games will keep getting better each year and provide many players who can represent India at the highest levels.

Cricket is yet to be included in this tournament and no wonder why it might not make it because the sport already has a massive scope and impeccable system.

“All preparations for organizing the Khelo India Youth Games have been completed. The games will start from Monday in a glittering manner on the theme ‘Hindustan Ka Dil Dhadka Do’ for 13 days.” – said MP Chief minister Prithvi Raj Chouhan.
