As many players from the subcontinent has shifted to USA to play cricket there and ideally Unmukt moving to America is a good opportunity for him as it seems that he is not in the pipeline of BCCI.

Chand while taking to majorcricketleague.com talked about his new venture with USA Major league for multiple years in detail.

“I’m delighted to take the next step in my cricket career by being part of the long-term growth of American cricket and the launch of Major League Cricket. I’m excited to have the opportunity to play for the Strikers in Minor League Cricket starting this weekend and help grow the sport locally in the Bay Area, where I have already seen the impressive passion for the game of cricket,” He said.

Chand also talked about the reason why he left India to explore opportunities worldwide.

“It’s a tough one for someone like me, who has always dreamed of playing for the country. And most of it very emotional one as well and obviously, having played every other cricket, except for the senior team, I think it was a very painful call,” concluded Chand.

USA cricket is trying to built their own team by filling players from the subcontinent as the sport of cricket is quite new in America so subcontinent players can guide native American players to take up the sport professionally.
