Zimbabwe cricket team who used to be the world-class side in 90s but then they lost the plot in early 2000 and faced the downfall in world cricket and since then things have become ugly for them as the players who represent their national team has to do part-time jobs apart from playing cricket to meet their daily needs.
Zimbabwe cricket board is struggling to gather funds but there is a very popular saying that “Where there is a will there is a way” and that’s was proved by Zimbabwe who clinched victory today against Pakistan at Harare Sports Club.
However when Pakistan started their run chase many would have not thought the result, in the end, will go against Men in Green as they failed to chase a meager target of 118 runs and eventually was bowled out on 99 runs.
It is a big day for Zimbabwe cricket as they successfully managed to defeat the former Number 1 ranked team.
Reacting to the loss Pakistan skipper Babar Azam accepted that there is a weakness in his middle order and we need to learn from our mistake and come back stronger in the next game.
“We played poor cricket in the batting department. Credit to Zimbabwe for playing good cricket. The surface was stopping a bit and was two-paced.
“But it’s no excuse, we’re professionals and need to deal with it. Hopefully, we will come back strong in the next game,“ Babar said after the game.
Winning captain Brendon Taylor is delighted with his team performance and credited his teammates for showing composure in the crunch moments of the game.
Let’s have a look at the Twitter reaction where ex-cricketers shared their opinion described below.

Beating a very weakened South African team recently papered over a lot of cracks in the current Pakistan team. Those cracks are now showing up and there for all to see in Zimbabwe #Cricket
