Transfer Round-up of the day: 25th July

Another day in the transfer market brings some intriguing transfer talks for today. Here are the top stories of the day.

  • Sergio Rico in plans of Benfica
    According to reports, Benfica has shown interest in Sevilla’s goalkeeper Sergio Rico. After spending a season on loan at Fulham, the 25-year-old still hasn’t made it into the plans of Sevilla. Benfica were on the verge of signing Matteo Perin, but couldn’t as the Juventus back-up keeper failed the medical, and have now, accelerated their interest in Rico.
  • Antonio Cotan moves to Roda FC
    Midfielder Antonio Cotan has joined Roda FC on a free transfer as the former Sevilla player signed a 2 year deal with the Dutch outfit. The 23-year-old Spaniard has started training today and will be donning the Number 8 jersey for the club.
  • Marvelous Nakamba almost ready for Aston Villa
    Aston Villa have spent in excess of a 100 million Euros this transfer window as they prepare for life in the Premier League. Next-up on the list is the Zimbabwe international Nakamba. He is set for a medical as Aston Villa close-in on the midfielder to take their summer spending in excess of £120m. The transfer wasn’t looking good after the two teams disagreed on the price initially, but now it looks like Club Brugge has shook hands with the Lions at a price set at £10.7 million.
  • Boca Juniors ready for Danielle de Rossi
    The legend has arrived in Argentina for a medical as the former Italy international moves to Boca juniors. It is believed that the 36-year-old was released by Roma after 20 years there, following a growing tension with club’s hierarchy.
  • Wolves to approach Mario Lemina
    Southampton has been a feeder to big clubs, and this time it’s the turn of Wolves, who have sealed a Europa League berth. After the Southampton midfielder was freed to talk to other clubs this summer, Wolves are planning to approach the Gabon International. It is believed that Manchester United too was interested in him.

  • Sergej Milikovic Savic to replace Pogba
    Lazio midfielder had informed his Lazio teammates about his departure and reports claim that the Serbian’s representatives are in England for a potential transfer talk with United. According to the reports, the Red Devils are ready to pay £71 million for the 24-year-old as they look to revamp the squad. United believe he could be the replacement of Paul Pogba, should he confirm his departure from Old Trafford.
  • Paulo Dybala to Spurs at club record fee
    Tottenham is looking for another club record transfer this summer and have identified Argentine Paulo Dybala for the same. The Juventus forward has been valued at a record £80 million, which was earlier set at £65 million after midfielder Tanguy Ndombele made way to the London club. The 25-year-old Dybala is looking for a move away from Juventus and Spurs isn’t a bad option.

  • Another bidder for Wilfried Zaha
    After Arsenal made its bid earlier this week for the Ivorian, there is another bidder which has stood up. Everton has offered their opening bid of £55 million and as per reports, are willing to go as high as £70 million for the forward. The case of Zaha transfer talks has become more intense and it will be interesting to see how the Gunners react.
  • Bruno Fernandes is not coming to Old Trafford
    Bruno Fernandes has been the talk of the town lately and has been on the radar of two arch rivals Liverpool and Manchester United. After several speculations and link-up rumours between Fernandes and United, the 24-year-old midfielder is ‘unlikely’ to join the Reds this summer.

  • Arsenal confirm two new signings
    Arsenal have signed Dani Ceballos on loan for 2019-20 season from Real Madrid. The 22-year-old midfielder was looking for a move away from  Real Madrid to seek playing time and Arsenal have seemingly offered him the same. Earlier, Ceballos was in talks with Spurs as well, but they wanted him on a permanent transfer and the deal could not go through.

    Arsenal have also signed William Saliba from Saint- Etienne in a deal reported to be worth £27million. The 18-year-old would be loaned back to the French side for 2019-20 season, but would be back at Arsenal after that. Arsenal have identified him as the core of their future
