Assistant Coach of Team Vitality Confirms star Esports player Death
Harry “Gorilla” Mepham, the assistant coach for Team Vitality, took to social media to share the heart-wrenching news, expressing his deep sorrow and describing Asenbrener as not only a close friend but someone he considered a brother. Mepham’s tweet confirmed the suicide and conveyed the overwhelming grief and emptiness he felt. The NDTV reported Mepham’s statement, which emphasized the love he had for Asenbrener and how that love would endure.
Asenbrener had been a professional Valorant player and had been open about his struggles with depression and self-harm. In February, he revealed that he had sought help by spending time in a mental health facility.
Beginning his esports career in 2020 with the Czech squad “Kings of Sosnovka,” Asenbrener showcased his talent in numerous Valorant competitions across Europe. In 2022, he joined “Team Vitality,” a renowned French esports organization, where he primarily excelled as a duelist.
