There were a total of six centuries scored in this recently concluded edition of the ACC Emerging Men’s Asia Cup 2023. The batsmen of all the teams were in fine form and scored a lot of runs in the tournament.

All six hundred came in a winning cause, and five of these were among the top five highest individual scores of the tournament. Let us take a look at the batters who scored these crucial runs for their respective teams.

Avishka Fernando (Sri Lanka)
The highest individual score of the tournament came from the bat of Sri Lankan opener Avishka Fernando. He played a sensational knock of 133 runs in just 124 balls at a strike rate of 107.26 against Bangladesh A in the group stage. We might see Fernando playing for Sri Lanka in the senior men’s Asia Cup as well later this year.

Minod Bhanuka (Sri Lanka)
The second-highest individual score of the tournament also came from the bat of a Sri Lankan player, Minod Bhanuka. He scored 119 runs in 103 balls against Afghanistan A in the league stage. His strike rate was near 115 in that exceptional knock.

Tayyab Tahir (Pakistan)
This was probably the best innings of the tournament, as it came in the final, and it was this innings from Tayyab Tahir that won Pakistan A the tournament. He played in a counter-attacking manner and took on every Indian bowler. He scored 108 runs off just 71 balls at a really good strike rate of 152.

Yash Dhull (India)
The India A captain who was their best batter in the tournament also scored a brilliant century against UAE A at a strike rate of 128.57. He scored 108 runs in just 84 balls and, more importantly, was not out. He showed great composure and his range of power-hitting shots in that inning.

Sai Sudharsan (India)
India’s southpaw opener also scored a hundred in the league stage of the tournament, which was the fifth highest individual score of the tournament. He scored 104 runs against Pakistan A in 110 balls.
