Andre Russell
Barely anybody doubts that Andre Russell isn’t the best all-rounder. KKR’s management knows Russell’s strengths and potential contributions to the team, and they believe he is a valuable addition. Russell’s ability to win matches sets him apart from the rest.
In the history of IPL, he has scored 2035 runs in 98 matches and has a favorable strike rate of 177.88. Being an all-rounder, Russell has grabbed 89 wickets in 98 games.
Sunil Narine
Sunil Narine holds the number 8 spot in the list of most wicket-taking bowlers in the history of IPL. He has clutched 158 wickets in 154 innings. Besides his bowling numbers, Narine has also scored over 1000 runs for KKR at a strike rate of 162.69.
Jacques Kallis
KKR acquired Jacques Kallis in their team in IPL 2011 season; before that, he had already played three seasons in a row for Royal Challengers Bangalore and emerged as one of the finest players in the T20 format.
Kallis registered 2427 runs in his IPL span in 96 innings and took 42 wickets. Kallis’ IPL journey may have ended in 2014, but he still holds the 38th place in most run-getters list of IPL.
Venkatesh Iyer
Venkatesh Iyer, who debuted for KKR in 2021 as an all-rounder, is a youngster who amazed cricket fans with his brilliant innings. Since the debut of 2021 to the IPL 2023 season, he has constructed 806 runs, of which 254 gardened from only seven matches of the IPL 2023 season.
He has grabbed three wickets in 8 innings. The number of wickets may be fewer, but he performs very well as an all-rounder for KKR. Born in 1994, this player is still young and has many milestones yet to be achieved.
Shakib Al Hasan
Shakib Al Hasan scored 793 runs in 31 matches in the IPL and is in the 99th position in the top 100 run-getter list in IPL. He has taken 63 wickets in 71 games so far.
You may not have witnessed an encouraging performance from him in IPL, but in ICC Players Ranking, he holds 1st place in T20 and ODI and 3rd place in Test matches, which is why it is still a part of IPL.
