Jamie Overton produced a stunning batting performance to help the Manchester Originals to a 40-run victory over the Northern Superchargers in The Hundred on Sunday. Overton smashed an unbeaten 83 off just 30 balls, including 9 fours and 6 sixes, as the Originals posted a total of 182 for six.

The England international came to the crease at 73 for four and took the game away from the Superchargers with his brutal hitting. He was particularly severe on Reece Topley, who finished with figures of three for 29, hitting the left-armer for two sixes and a four in his final over.
Overton’s innings was the highlight of an impressive batting display from the Originals, with Laurie Evans (41) and Paul Walter (22) also making valuable contributions.
