Contribution of Joe Clarke
- Welsh Fire was supposed to make 153 runs, to ensure the victory. However, their opening partnership was broken only with a score of 16. That is when Joe Clarke stepped on the crease and took the command of taking the team to the target.
- Tom Abell was the first player to provide support to Clarke. They both formed a partnership of 54 runs and took the score to a good total.
- However, once Abell was out, no other player supported Clarke, and the whole team was only able to accumulate 148 runs. It was a close match for sure.
Key Player for Trent Rockets
Without any doubt, Munro was certainly the best batter of the match. At the start of the first innings, it looked like Trent Rockets would not be able to win, because they lost important wickets. But Colin Munro went on to get a brilliant fifty for the team and scored 66 runs only on 35 balls. His innings included 4 fours and 4 sixes. This was certainly a brilliant way to make his team win.
Welsh Fire is still having some hope to make a comeback on the points table. For that, they need to win consistently.
