Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 Tamil Thalaivas Road to play-offs

Tamil Thalaivas Release Three Players as Offseason Prep Begins

The 11th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) ended a few months ago. Many teams are already getting ready for the new season. The teams that didn’t do well last season are making the most changes. Tamil Thalaivas is one of the teams that is changing a lot, looking to make a greater comeback in the next season.

Last season, Tamil Thalaivas really let their fans down with their performance. The team has been struggling in the league for a while now. They’ve been in the league since the sixth season, but they’ve only made it to the playoffs once. After a bad performance in the 11th season, the team made a big decision. They’ve released some players, after already letting go of their head coach. Let’s take a look at the three players who have been released.

  1. Abhishek Manokaran

Abhishek Manokaran, a right cover defender, has been playing in the PKL for many seasons. However, he didn’t play well last season. In the 17 matches he played for Thalaivas, he only got 31 tackle points. Abhishek only had a 40 percent success rate with his tackles last season. Because of this poor performance, the team released him.

  1. Mohit

Mohit, a left cover defender, was given a chance by Thalaivas for three seasons in a row. But he never really played well. He made his PKL debut with Thalaivas in the eighth season. In 20 matches, he only got 24 tackle points. Even after that, he got to play 22 matches in the ninth season. But this time too, he only got 34 points. Last season, he played 17 matches and got 25 tackle points. Now, Thalaivas has released him.

  1. Sahil Gulia

Sahil Gulia, a left corner defender, was also released. He was the captain of Thalaivas last season after Sagar Rathi got injured. Last season, Sahil only played 13 matches and got 31 points. Releasing Sahil was a bit of a surprise because he played well enough. If we forget about last season, Sahil has consistently played well in the league. He also has leadership skills. Even with all these skills, Thalaivas made a big decision by releasing him.

Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Tamil Thalaivas extend head coach Ashan Kumar's stay until 2025

Tamil Thalaivas is a kabaddi team from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The team has been a part of the PKL since the sixth season. They haven’t won the PKL title yet. To turn their fortune, the franchise has fired some of their players who have not played well.

In any sport, teams need to make changes to improve. Releasing players and coaches is a normal part of this process. Teams look at how players performed in the previous season and decide who to keep and who to let go. This helps them build a stronger team for the next season.

It will be interesting to see how the Tamil Thalaivas perform in the next season after releasing these players. They will need to find new players to fill the gaps. Hopefully, these changes will help the team do better in the future.

The Pro Kabaddi League is an exciting tournament that showcases the best kabaddi players in India. Teams are always looking to improve, and sometimes that means making tough decisions about players and coaches. The release of these three players from Tamil Thalaivas is a sign that the team is serious about making changes and doing better in the upcoming seasons.
