In IPL 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder Sunil Narine is on fire. He smashed fours and sixes during Delhi Capitals’s match on Wednesday and led his team to a gigantic triumph. Narine with his spectacular knocks was named the Man of the Match. With this, he made a historic milestone for his team, KKR.

Sunil Narine has now become the player from Kolkata who has jointly won the most Player of the Match along with Andre Russell. The selection of  Narine as an opener in this IPL season has had quite a value to it since it is acting in an appropriate way. Narine kicks-off the team in the powerplay in the stormy phase. 

Sunil Narine smashed 7 fours and 7 sixes against DC

In the match against DC, he again played a sort of explosive innings. The superstar Sunil Narine had achieved the highest score of the match of 85 runs in just 39 balls with the help of 7 fours and 7 sixes. Another aspect he did really well at was taking the wicket of one batsman while bowling.

Sunil Narine of KKR stood out once again and earned the Player of the Match award for the 14th time. Narine, the best performer received the Player of the Match award for his fantastic all-round performance. Along with him, Andre Russell has been the player of the match for 14 occasions so far.

Gautam Gambhir and Yusuf Pathan are also included in the list

KKR mentor Gambhir is also present in this record. Gambhir was named the Man of the match for the Kolkata team on 10 occasions. Whereas Yusuf Pathan had achieved it 7 times.

Turning to Sunil Narine, he has been a part of Kolkata Knight Riders from the beginning of his career and kept playing for them since 2012. Sunil Narine entered his first Indian Premier League match against Rajasthan Royals in 2012.
