Australia skipper and the world No.2 Test batsman Steve Smith has put one of his luxurious properties in Sydney up for rent. The stunning townhouse– based in the inner-city suburb of Balmain– is now available in for $2000 per week.

Smith had bought the three-bedroom and bathrooms house for a sum of $2 million in 2015 and it later underwent a revamp. The best feature of the property is the excellent view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge which is visible from every room in the house.

This property is just one among the many owned by Smith. The right-hander also owns properties in Marrickville, Sans Souci, and Birchgrove.

Meanwhile, talking about cricket, Smith is currently in South Africa to play in a three-match T20I and ODI series, starting February 21. This is his first visit to South Africa post that 2018 ball-tampering scandal that led to him being banned for a year.

Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft were suspended for ball-tampering during the Cape Town Test. But ever since his comeback, the right-hander has been consistently piling up runs.

“Probably just walking into the hotel, just initially I was like “last time I was here, it wasn’t pretty” Smith told reporters in Johannesburg.

It wasn’t the best time of my life. But I’ve moved on from that, learned a lot over the last two years and I’m moving forward. It’s good to be back here playing and I’m looking forward to this series” Smith added.

He also said that he expects to be targeted by the crowd.

“They are hostile at the best of times here.

“Then again it’s just words, it doesn’t affect me,” he said.

“I think I will be doing some outfielding so I’m looking forward to it. I will smile and laugh and play along and have fun.”
