Former Indian cricketer, Sourav Ganguly is, unarguably, one of the most influential names in Indian cricket. A true-champion, Sourav Ganguly took charge at a time when Indian cricket was in turmoil.  Ganguly held the record of India’s most successful captain overseas, winning 11 matches out of 28 before Kohli broke that. 

Ganguly led India in 146 one-day internationals and 49 test matches. He helped India win 76 one-day matches and 21 tests under his leadership.

SOURAV GANGULY BECAME BCCI PRESIDENT IN OCTOBER

Ganguly was appointed the president of World richest cricket board, Board of Control for Cricket in India in October. He has been given the responsibility of heading Indian cricket next months.

Right from his arrival, Ganguly always wanted to take Indian cricket to greater heights. After becoming BCCI president, Ganguly stressed upon the improvement of domestic cricket structure, increasing the salary of first-class domestic players. Not to mention the first day and night test match held in Kolkata against Bangladesh.

Before becoming the BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly was serving as the head of the Cricket Association of Bengal. Ganguly had been involved with a lot of things for the upliftment of Bengal cricket. Though, he is not tasked with the job anymore, he still looks after Bengal cricket and makes sure everything function properly.

Recently, Saurav Ganguli shared pictures of new indoor cricket facility which is being built at Cricket Association of Bengal.

 The new indoor cricket facility at CAB…@CabCricket @BCCI.. a state of art.. just finished today, he wrote on his twitter handle.

He posted a few pictures of the facilities provided inside, built in an attempt to take the game on newer heights.
