Ganguly was appointed the president of World richest cricket board, Board of Control for Cricket in India in October. He has been given the responsibility of heading Indian cricket next months.

Right from his arrival, Ganguly always wanted to take Indian cricket to greater heights. After becoming BCCI president, Ganguly stressed upon the improvement of domestic cricket structure, increasing the salary of first-class domestic players. Not to mention the first day and night test match held in Kolkata against Bangladesh.

Before becoming the BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly was serving as the head of the Cricket Association of Bengal. Ganguly had been involved with a lot of things for the upliftment of Bengal cricket. Though, he is not tasked with the job anymore, he still looks after Bengal cricket and makes sure everything function properly.
