BCCI Chief selector Chetan Sharma came under boiling hot water yesterday after a video clip of his revealing unknown things about the BCCI and its players went viral on the internet. The selector was caught in the act in his own house thanks to a sting operation led by Zee News.

Chetan Sharma alluded to the other face of the BCCI and made claims against several big-shots. To begin, one of his first statements were regarding Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli’s ego feud, accusing the former Leftie of being responsible for Kohli’s dismissal from captaincy.

Virat Kohli believed he lost the captaincy due to the BCCI President. Ganguly may have instructed him to ‘think about it once’ during the video chat with the selection committee. I believe Kohli did not hear it because there were nine other people present, including myself and all other selectors and BCCI officials – Kohli may not have heard him.”

“Ganguly did not favor Rohit but he never liked Virat. You can put it in this way. The press conference ahead of the IND vs SA series where Virat Kohli revealed that he was told 1.30 hours before the declaration that he will be leaving the captaincy was unnecessary. He just wanted to get back at Sourav that’s why he did it.”
