Shane Warne & Michael Vaughan Wants Men in Blue to Play D/N Test against Australia in 2020

Spin wizard Shane Warne is delighted after seeing India participating in the day-night test against Bangladesh at the iconic Eden Gardens. And now he wants Virat Kohli and company to play day-night test against Australia in Adelaide next year.

Rewinding the clock a year back, India refused to play the day-night test against Australia due to some unknown reason, but after the appointment of Sourav Ganguly as BCCI president things have taken complete 180-degree turn.

Ganguly not only managed to convince Kohli to play day-night test but is also successful in making Eden Gardens test a star-studded extravaganza.

Shane Warne congratulated his arch-nemesis Sourav Ganguly on Twitter and shared pictures of Kolkata turning Pink on the historic eve. He also congratulated Kohli and requested him to play day-night test next year down under.

Another legend of the game Michael Vaughan also expressed his desire to see India and Australia locking horns under the lights next year in 2020.

India on the verge of a clean sweep against Bangladesh

After an emphatic victory over Bangladesh in the first test India is coursing towards the series clean sweep. They bundled out Bangladesh in the first innings for a paltry score of 106 and later posted 347 runs in the second innings taking a healthy lead of 241.

Coming back to day-night test, Australia has played the most number of day-night test (5) and won all of them, teams like Pakistan, England have played 3 D/N tests, West Indies, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, South Africa have played 2 D/N tests each.

Looking at the Eden Garden day-night test success, it seems other major centres like Mumbai and Chennai are likely to host day-night test in the near future.
