He is representing Brampton Wolves in the league and on Sunday, he yet again proved his worth, being labelled as the biggest cricket entertainer. During a match between Brampton Wolves and Edmonton Royals, he scored a majestic knock of 81 off just 40 balls, helping his team defeat Edmonton Royals by 27 runs. His 80 runs knock included 11 fours and 5 sixes in the match.
His fearless smacking reminded us of late nineties, when Afridi was a nightmare for opposition bowlers across the globe. But his electrifying knock was overshadowed by his own witty response to Wahab Riaz during the match.
There was one moment captured on stump mic that left the fans burst out in laughter and rolling all over ground.
On the last ball of the Wolves innings, Afridi took a single, however, Riaz on the other end urged for another run, to which Boom Boom Afridi replied “Pagal hai kya….bowling kaun karega ?(Are you mad, who will bowl then?).
He wrapped up, what was a perfect day, by taking a wicket, and giving away just 14 runs in his quota of 4 overs. For his all-round performance in the match, he was adjudged Man of the Match.
