Cricket is considered to be a batsman’s game right now. The way the rules have been twitched, flatter tracks and powerplays make it even easier for the batsmen to play some superb knocks. But one thing that has changed the most is the number of bats today’s batsmen carry during the training sessions or the game is something that baffles everyone.

Many legends like Sunil Gavaskar, Ian Chappell, and David Boon have been saying that they never have seen so much of batsmen in their entire careers. But would you believe that there is a batsman who does not carry any bat with him during the games? And the reason for him not carrying any bat is because he does not own any bat.

Yes, you read it right.

Pakistan spinner and the skipper of Islamabad United franchise in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has revealed the name of a cricketer who does not own any cricket batsman. And he is none other than fast bowler Muhammad Musa. The pacer has been grabbing all the eye-balls in the ongoing edition of the tournament.

Shadab Khan’s comments were revealed by one of prominent Pakistan’s sports journalist Saj Sadiq on the micro-blogging website Twitter. Taking it to Twitter, Sadiq also noted that Shadab Khan was really proud of Musa’s performance and he believes that he can bat as well.

“Shadab Khan “Musa always tells me he can bat, so give me a longer chance to bat in the nets. Today he proved he can bat, so we will have to get him some cricket bats too as he doesn’t have any” #IUvLQ #PSLV,” Sadiq tweeted.

Khan’s comments come after Musa played a smashing cameo of 17 off just 11 deliveries. The innings included two boundaries and one maximum to take his team, Islamabad United, to a thrilling victory over Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League on Sunday.

Islamabad United (IU) is at the top of the table of PSL with four points by winning 2 out of their three games. The team will be back on the field on Thursday against Quetta Gladiators in Rawalpindi. The match will be really important for IU and would look to take revenge for the loss they endured from Quetta’s hands in the opening encounter.

The finals of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be played in Lahore on March 22.
