Cricket player Safyaan Mohammed Sharif was born in Scotland on May 24, of the year 1991 and represents the national cricket team of the country Scotland on international level. Domestic Career
The English team Derbyshire County Cricket Club signed Sharif in the month of May of the year 2018 to participate in the 2018 Royal London One-Day Cup and 2018 t20 Blast competitions. Safyaan Sharif was chosen to represent the Edmonton Royals franchise side in the 2019 Global T20 Canada competition in the month of June of the year 2019.
In the month of July of the year 2019, Safyaan Mohammed Sharif was selected to play for the Glasgow Giants cricket team in the inaugural Euro T20 Slam cricket competition. However, the cricket tournament was cancelled the very next month.
International Career
In the 2011-13 Intercontinental Cup One-Day competition in the month of June of the year 2011, Sharif made his One Day International (ODI) debut for the national cricket team of Scotland against the national cricket team of Netherlands, recording 4/27. Safyaan Sharif participated in two more One Day Internationals (ODIs) in the tri-nation series against Ireland and Sri Lanka the following month, with both games taking place at The Grange in Edinburgh.
In the year 2011 Clydesdale Bank 40, Safyaan Sharif later made four List A appearances against English counties. At the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek in September 2011, Sharif made his first-class debut against Namibia in the 2011–13 ICC Intercontinental Cup. Safyaan Sharif participated in Scotland’s two List A games against Namibia in the ICC Intercontinental Cup One-Day competition after the game. Sharif played in the Intercontinental Cup against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the month of February of the year 2012 for the second time in first-class. Safyaan Mohammed Sharif was chosen to play for the cricket team of Scotland in the World Twenty 20 Qualifier following their series with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Sharif obtained his first five-wicket haul in an One Day International (ODI) in the month of March of the year 2018 against Zimbabwe at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. The match was a qualifier for the 2018 Cricket World Cup. With five wickets for 33 runs off 8.4 overs, Sharif was named player of the match as the game ended in a draw.
