‘Rustiness won’t take long to go’: Watson after first training session ahead of IPL 2020

After completing his first training session for CSK ahead of Indian Premier League all-rounder Shane Watson said that there was little rustiness but it will not take much time to fade away in the upcoming session.

CSK started their training camp on Friday after no new coronavirus cases found in the Franchise based on the test conducted on Thursday.

How exciting it was to be back with all of my @ChennaiIPL mates for our first training sessionsession! !! It was so much fun. There was little rust that will not take long to go, ” Watson Tweeted.

Watson was picked by Yellow army in 2018 and since then he has been instrumental for club. He has represented CSK for 32 matches till date and scored 493 runs with the highest score being 117 runs unbeaten which came in the finals against SunRisers Hyderabad. He has also clinched six wickets for the franchise.

As the mega event is all set to start from UAE from September 19th to November 10th across three venues -Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Shah Jahan. Speaking to ANI, a CSK source earlier said “All the players and the support staff who were tested on Thursday are negative. Those players who tested positive will be earlier tested only after 14 days of isolation”.

CSK under the leadership of MS Dhoni will be looking forward to clinch their fourth IPL title. They had to rely on their young players after their two experience players i.e Raina and Harbhajan pulled out from IPL 2020 due to personal reasons.
