Indian team star cricketer, Rohit Sharma, and Indian star defender, Sandesh Jhinghan were seen attending the El Clasico at Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday where Real Madrid defeated Barcelona by a scoreline of 2-0.
Ahead of the clash between the Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona, Rohit Sharma had tweeted that “So good to be in beautiful Madrid for #ElClasico can’t wait for the game tomorrow” and was very enthusiastic about the game.

In 2019 December, Rohit Sharma became the first-ever non-footballing player to be appointed as the La Liga ambassador of India. He is the face of the Spanish League in India and was happy to represent the country on a global scale.
During his one of the training sessions, Rohit Sharma was seen in Real Madrid jersey. The Indian star batman was in awe of Santiago Bernabeu. His story was shared by himself on the Instagram stories.
Ahead of the game, Spanish football league president, Javier Tebas assured regarding the coronavirus outbreak and said there were no concerns for the players and fans. There has been speculation that 32 cases are reported regarding the same pandemic coronavirus outbreak.
The player said that he was enthusiastic about the game and said:
“I have seen it so many times on television. There is so much passion just watching it. I can’t even imagine how it is at the stadium so many people sitting and watching El Clasico game between the two best clubs in the world. It is one of the most competitive leagues in the world.
La Liga brings out so much skills and passion that when you are watching it from home itself you feel like you are at the stadium,”
At the game, Rohit Sharma went on to meet many legends of the game. He shared the stage among the best footballing personalities of which he shared the photo on Twitter.

On the other hand, Sandesh Jhinghan, the mainstay and central defender of the Indian national team also travelled to the Spanish capital to watch the game. Initially, he posted on Twitter as “Off to Madrid for the big game tomorrow. hope you are ready” to Joefooty. He also posted the same on Twitter.

The Kerala Blasters player shared the stage along Joe Morrisson and Kevin Campbell. He also shared the video where he has captured the view of the stadium before the kick-off.

Barcelona went on to lose for the first time at Santiago Bernabeu since 2014 and Real Madrid won the game for the first time since 2016 in El Clasico. Vinicius Jr scored in the 71st minute whereas Mariano nailed the game with his strike in the stoppage time. The victory took Real Madrid on top of the table by a solitary point margin.
