Rishabh Pant seen on cricket field, first time since his horrible car crash
Star Indian wicket-keeper Batsman Rishabh Pant, who suffered a life threatening car crash last year has returned to the cricket field for the first time in over 6 months. After undergoing surgery on his injured leg, Pant has been at NCA, Bengaluru for rehabiliation and he has been giving updates on his fitness via social media every now and then.
The BCCI, a month ago, stated that Pant has returned for net sessions and has also started wicket-keeping practice. But it is for the first time since December 2022 that the 25-year-old returned for any sort of cricketing action.

It was during an exhibition match at JSW Vijaynagar, that Pant stretched his arms after a long time. His fans had turned up in numbers to see the explosive batter and there were no shortage of whistles and noise when he came down to bat.
In that viral (X) Twitter video, the enigmatic left-hander played his trademark strokes down the ground and also shuffled down the pitch to hit a six through extra cover. The crowd went absolutely berzerk and the 33-second video clip also gathered plenty of positive reactions.

Not just his fans but the BCCI and Indian team management will be delighted to see Rishabh Pant get back to his normal ways. A sure shot date for his return to competitive cricket is not yet final and his absence is somehow a major blow for India during the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup in October.
Ishan Kishan and KS Bharat seem to be the most likely options for team India to replace Pant. Rahul Dravid has used both Kisan and Bharat on numerous occasions following Pant’s car crash. KL Rahul is another option as well but who will make the cut in CWC? Time will tell.
