NBA teams that operate the G League are now under the impression that the rest of the minor-league system’s season will be cancelled, reported by ESPN on Monday.
Apparently, the season of G league was scheduled to take place from the starting of March and conclude by March 28, with the playoffs running till April. The G League had previously announced that its season was also suspended after the NBA had suspended the whole season until further notice.
Beyond obvious calender issues, the fact G League teams travel on commericial airlines and generally are money-drains for NBA teams make it even harder to move forward for rest of the season. No imminent announcement and G-League teams have been told to stay in town for now. https://t.co/nd1DdGeoV5
