The worst days have come for Pakistan cricket, as they suffered their first major international series defeat against Afghanistan.
Afghanistan and the Men in Green split their two games, with Afghanistan winning the series 2-0.
When Afghanistan defeated Pakistan in a series, amusing memes referencing a few Pakistani players as “PSL kay Ab De Villiers” quickly spread on social media. From there, further jokes soon began to appear in the media.
Talking about last match, where Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first and scored meager 130 runs in the shortest format of the game which is not a par total at all considering the current pace of the game.
Apart from Imad Wasim, other batters couldn’t fire with the bat and when Afghanistan came out to chase 130 runs, they did it with ease with brilliant knocks from Rahamanullah Gurbaz where he scored 44 runs was complement brilliantly by other batters which include Ibrahim Zadran and Najibullah Zadran with 61 runs combined to ensure that Afghan Boys chase down this target with 7 wickets in hand.
Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan is elated with the performance of his team and stated that “He is extremely proud of leading that Afghanistan side which has scripted history in International cricket”.
Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi congratulated, Afghanistan team and skipper Rashid Khan for this brilliant victory and also appreciated PCB stance to invest in young lot who will be the future of Men in Green in times to come.
