1. Patna Pirates raider Monu completed 100 PKL career Raid points – Match Day 51’a first fixture between Patna Pirates and Puneri Paltan saw the 3-time champions lose by 44-30. Pirates’ lose meant that they are no more in contention for reaching the play-offs. Paltan came all guns blazing against Pirates, who rather looked dull and out of form. Sachin Tanwar was the only raider that played with a zeal to win but he did not receive the support of other raiders. However, veteran Monu scored his 100th career raid points as he collected 3 raid points during Patna’s loss by 6 points.

2. 3-time champions out of PKL – Pro Kabaddi League’s most successful outfit Patna Pirates have crashed out of PKL 9 after their loss against Puneri Paltan last night. They have been highly inconsistent this season especially in their defense. Raider Sachin Tanwar was their only player that remained consistent throughout the course of the season and so was Rohit Gulia. However, their defense was not up to the mark this term. Mohammadreza Chiyaneh was their best defender but lack of support from other corners have seen them remain at the bottom of the table. Chiyaneh is the second best defender of the season scoring 65 tackle points in 18 appearances. Patna’s loss against Puneri was their 4th loss in a row and they have a lot of work to do in order to prepare for next season.

3. 4 teams have qualified for the Play-offs till now – Pro Kabaddi League season 9 has been one of the best seasons with ups and downs in every stage. It has also been highly competitive as well as unpredictable. The defending champions Dabang Delhi K.C started the season very strongly winning their first 6 matches but their amazing performances faded out dramatically and they are yet to qualify for the knock out rounds. Jaipur Pink Panthers, Puneri Paltan, Bengaluru Bulls and UP Yoddhas are the only 4 teams that are going to the play-offs. The remaining two slots will see a tussle between Tamil Thalaivas, Dabang Delhi, U Mumba, Haryana Steelers and Gujarat Titans.
