PCB announces dates for Zimbabwe series in the limited over format

Pakistan will start there ICC Men’s Cricket Super League against Zimbabwe in October 2020.This news was confirmed by Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) on Wednesday.

Zimbabwe will play 3 ODI and 3 T20 match series against Pakistan in October and November. The 50 over matches will be played in Multan starting on October 30th 2020 followed by two more matches on November 1 and November 3rd respectively.

And the T20 series will start from November 7th 2020 in Rawalpindi. All the matches will be played behind closed doors keeping all the safety and security procedures in mind.

“The series is critical to Pakistan as it aspires to qualify directly for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 and as such every point in the Super League will be count. Our last ODI series was against Sri Lanka, 12 months ago , so the boys have to hit the ground running and try to put maximum points ” PCB Director- International Cricket, Zakir Khan said in a official statement.

All the 32 members from Zimbabwe squad which includes players, officials and support staff will undergo two COVID-19 tests within a space of 48 hours before their departure from Harare. While one more test will be conducted once they reach at Islamabad airport.

Also Zimbabwe cricket officials confirmed that they have received the permission from Zimbabwe government to tour Pakistan for limited over series starting from October-November.
