Sam Billings was the star of the show for the Invincibles, hitting an unbeaten 76 from 40 balls to lead his side to victory with eight balls to spare.
The Rockets made a bright start to the match, with Colin Munro top-scoring with 36 from 25 balls. But they were unable to build on their early momentum and were eventually restricted to 148 for 7.

The Invincibles’ bowlers were led by Adam Zampa, who took two wickets for 20 runs. He was well supported by Tom Curran who also bagged 2 for 31.

Billings’ innings was full of power and elegance, and he hit 5 fours and 5 sixes in his knock. He was particularly destructive in the final over, hitting quick runs off the last six balls to seal the victory.

The Invincibles will now face the winners of the Eliminator match between the Manchester Originals and the Welsh Fire in the final, which will be played at Lord’s on Sunday.

This is the Invincibles’ first appearance in the final of the Hundred, having failed to qualify for the knockout stages in each of the first two years. They will be looking to go one better this year and lift the trophy.

The Rockets, meanwhile, will be disappointed to have missed out on a place in the final. They were performing well but they were unable to replicate their form this season

Despite their defeat, the Rockets can take some positives from their campaign. They have a number of talented young players in their squad, and they will be hoping to build on their experience in the years to come.
The Men’s Hundred final is set to be a thrilling contest, and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. The Invincibles will be the favourites, but the Originals and the Fire are both capable of causing an upset.
