India’s hopes were dashed when KL Rahul sustained a serious injury and had to be removed from the squad for the WTC Final match against Australia.

They will compete against Australia in the WTC Final, which will take held at Oval from June 7 to June 11 with a reserve day on June 12.

Selectors are reportedly thinking of employing Wriddhiman Saha in absence of KL Rahul, according to a report from BCCI sources that has circulated in multiple media outlets.

Saha is the ideal replacement for KS Bharat in the Indian team given his recent IPL success.

The BCCI selector has also received requests from fans to include Saha in the World Test Championship Final Squad.

With his most recent batting effort, in which he hit 54 runs off just 23 balls, Saha has been in excellent form.

Saha has been in outstanding form throughout the current season of IPL 2023. In his one innings, he hit a total of 10 fours and four sixes to get 81 runs off 43 balls.

With the help of his outstanding 81-run knock, which he scored in 51 balls and included seven sixes and two fours, Gujarat was able to set a solid platform during the powerplay.
