Nepal Squad for T20 World Cup 2024
Nepal has announced its team for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 to be held in West Indies and America. Rohit Paudel will be seen commanding the Nepal squad in the T20 World Cup.
Nepal Cricket Board has announced a 15-member team. This is the second time in Nepal cricket history that the team will be seen participating in the T20 World Cup.
Nepal cricket team will start its journey in the upcoming ICC tournament against Netherlands on June 4. Nepal has retained most of the key names and given preference to players who have shown amazing performance against West Indies A and the ACC Premier League held in Oman.

In the batting department, a big responsibility will be on Rohit Paudel, who scored a tremendous century in the first unofficial match against West Indies A. Apart from Paudel, Dipendra Singh Airee, who recently achieved the feat of hitting six sixes in an over, is also a part of the team.
At the same time, Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh, will be seen strengthening the batting order. Apart from these, Gulshan Jha, who participated in the Under-19 World Cup, has been included in the senior team.
Young Pratis GC has retained his place in the senior Nepal squad. Nepal’s player Sompal Kami, who participated in the T20 World Cup held in Bangladesh in 2014, has also been given a place in the 2024 World Cup. Apart from Sompal, left-arm bowler Lalit Rajbanshi will command the spin attack. The job of handling the fast bowling attack along with Sompal will be in the hands of Karan KC.

Nepal High Court acquitted Sandeep Lamichhane
Nepal High Court on acquitted the country’s star cricketer and former national team captain Sandeep Lamichhane of rape charges, making him available to play domestic and international cricket. Lamichhane’s acquittal means that he will be available to represent Nepal in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
All the teams can make changes in their squad for the T20 World Cup till May 25. After May 25, if any team has to make changes in its squad, then they will have to take permission from the Technical Committee of the ICC event.
