Liverpool will face Shrewsbury in their own backyard i.e, at Anfield in the FA Cup relay fixture. However, the Reds who are on the verge of winning their first Premier League title in 30 years are not going to field their strongest eleven and Klopp publicly said that neither he nor his team will be the part of the fixture. Rather he said that the U-23 players will be fielded with Neil Critchley as their manager.neil-critchley-backs-klopp

On the other hand, the U-23 manager, Neil Critchley said that Jurgen Klopp would call in at the half time and tell regarding the statistics and strategy for the game. He said that it would be as same as what Klopp did during their Carabao Cup fixture.

“It was brilliant,”

“Even though we were going off the pitch at half-time thinking, ‘We’ve played all right there but we’re getting beat 4-0’, it creates that element of doubt in your mind about whether you are doing the right thing and if you need to do something different.

“The message killed every doubt, it settled them right down. It helped everyone at that moment.

“That option is available on Tuesday, but that’s up to the manager.”

Neil Critchley also mentioned that the Liverpool manager supports his player well and also has the best youth squad. Talking about the same, the manager said:

“He supports the young players unbelievably well,”

“Even if he is not there, he is always felt by our younger players and by myself.

“I also think maybe 1% that came into his thinking with his decision was the way we played against Aston Villa, he maybe thought the boys deserved another opportunity.”
