New Delhi: Rohit Kumar, the captain of Bengaluru Bulls was the game changer for his team as they beat Jaipur Pink Panthers convincingly 41-30 at the Thyagaraj Complex on Sunday.
Rohit finished the match with 13 Raid Points as Bengaluru gave Jaipur Pink Panthers the taste of their own medicine, Jaipur Pink Panthers faced a humiliating loss against Bengaluru Bulls. With 13 raid points in the match Rohit Kumar also crossed 50 raid points in the season 7. Other than Rohit Kumar, the star performers of the match were defender Mahender singh, Saurabh Nandal and Mohit Sehrawat also secured his first high 5’s in the VIVO Pro Kabaddi league history.
It was a match between best raiding team Bengaluru Bulls ( average 19 raid points per match) and best defending unit ( Jaipur Pink Panthers 11.5 tackle points per match). It was the day for raiders as Bengaluru Bulls under Rohit Kumar gave a nerve jangling lead in the first half on the other hand Deepak Hooda struggled not only with his form, but also culdn’t inspire the team. Raid was not a forte for Jaipur , Deepak Hooda was the only shining spot. Bengaluru Bulls defence also lacked the intensity, but in this match Mahender Singh and Saurabh Nandal never allowed Jaipur Pink Panthers settle in the match and there was not a single instance when Jaipur levelled Bulls scoreline. One can imagine the Bengaluru Bulls grip on Jaipur Pink Panthers as by the end of first half the score was 22-8.lead.
Bulls were in the revenge mode after losing the match to Dabang Delhi last Saturday with a close margin. In the last 2matches Bengaluru Bulls lacked intensity in the second half that even cost Bulls the match against Delhi. Bulls inflicted a second all out on Jaipur Pink Panthers three minutes to the second half. Rohit Kumar was on fire and ven made Pawan Sehrawat made look secondary , in the eight minute of the second half Rohit kumar super raid took out Jaipur three stalwart defenders Sandeep Dhull, Nitin Rawal and Santhapaneselvam.. Sushil Gulia’s two-point raid with 7 minutes in the clock helped Pink Panthers reduce the lead by 12 points, but it was all to late by then and Bengaluru Bulls won the match 41-30 securing their place in the top four.
