Reigning English champions Manchester City are inching close towards achieving a famous Treble of 2 Domestic titles and an European silverware this season. Their latest victory came against defending UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium just a day ago.

City thrashed Carlo Ancelotti’s men by 4-0 thanks to spectacular goals from Bernardo Silva, Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez. Pep Guardiola’s men did not give Real Madrid anything to build upon and City had a very tight grip on the game after the first-half ended in 2-0.

Bernardo Silva kept marching towards Real Madrid’s goal and found the back of the net 2 times. His first goal came with a left-footed attempt from a tricky angle where he chose to shoot towards the near post. Madrid’s Belgian keeper Thibaut Curtois almost launched himself towards to the far post before Bernardo powerfully drove the ball over the keeper’s lefty hand.

The Portuguese was on target once again for the second goal as he precisely headed a rebound attempt, originally struck by Ilkay Gundogan to Eder Militao’s feet. The ball came dipping to Bernardo Silva’s head and David Alaba had no choice but to just try preventing the ball from going inside.

Then Akanji nudged his head before Militao got involved again and led towards another goal. During the 90+1 extra time, World champion Julian Alvarez picked up the ball inside City’s box which has sweetly timed by Phil Foden in between Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger.

It rounded off the entire night and Manchester City will fly to Istanbul for the final to face Inter Milan. They also have FA Cup in their sights and Pep’s men are certain to become English Premier League champions. Thus a famous Treble is awaiting.
