HISTORY

The club was founded 135 years ago in 1884 as Leicester Fosse F.C near to the field named Fosse Road but later in 1891, the club moved to Filbert Street. In 1894 the club changed its name to Leicester City.

In 2002 they moved to nearby Walkers Stadium which in the year 2011 was renamed as the King Power Stadium.

Leicester won their first 2015-16 Premier league since 1992 following which many newspapers quoted them as The Unbelievable as the team conquered the title after defeating the undisputed champions Arsenal.

The ownership of the club is in the hands of the company King Power, after the owner of the company Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha died in a helicopter incident

The King Power stadium serves the club as their home ground. Located in Filbert Way, Leicester, England the stadium has a net capacity to hold 32,312 spectators.
