Yesterday’s match of the Lanka Premier League 2023 was completely one-sided. That was because the B-Love Kandy went on to win the match, by a huge margin of 89 runs. This shows the quality of bowling that was delivered by the bowlers of the B-love Kandy. With the help of this win, B-Love Kandy is on top of the points table. Now they are going to ensure that they stay on top.

B-love Kandy Innings 

  • B-Love batted first, and they looked determined to perform well in the match. However, they didn’t get a very good opening partnership. Their first wicket fell in the form of Mohammad Haris when the team score was only 26 runs. 
  • Later on, Zamal and Chandimal took command of the team total, and they formed a partnership of 49 runs. 
  • When the team score was 76 runs, Chandimal got out, but Zaman continued with his performance. He formed a partnership with Mathews and took the score to 103 runs. 
  • The next partnership between Mathews and Captain H Hasaranga was the game changer. This partnership took the score from 103 to 190 runs. 
  • Hasaranga scored 64 of 27 balls, which was certainly the best innings of the match. The final score of the innings turned out to be 203 runs. 

Galle Titans Innings 

  • Galle Titans had a Mammoth target to chase in front of them. For that, a good opening stand for them was required, but that didn’t happen, because the first wicket fell when the team’s total was only 20. 
  • The fall of the wicket continued and soon the score was 47-6. 
  • A ray of hope came up when the partnership between Priyanjan and Samarakoon happened, and they took the score from 47 to 109 runs. 
  • Soon, the next 3 wickets fell, and the score was 114-10. 

This win by B-Love Kandy shows that they are strong in both batting and bowling, and they completely deserve to be at the top of the table for now.
