The Khelo India youth games have returned after a gap of almost 2 years. The premier event features 5+ sports and it is a national level event which offers plenty of opportunity to countless young aspirants having immense determination alongside impeccable skills.
The 2022 edition which is taking place this year will feature more than 1000 athletes from different parts of the country and the tournament will start in 6 days time. Maharashtra is the only state to have finished 1st on 2 occasions in 2020 and 2021.
North-India’s Haryana are the only competition and they also won the inaugural edition and finished 2nd in 2019 and 2020 losing to Maharashtra by 50 and 56 medals respectively. This year, a few more sports have also been included which will increase the diversity of the tournament and provide opportunities in different fields.
Kayaking, Canoeing, Canoe slalom and Fencing have made it to the Khelo India youth Games 2023. Union Minister Anurag Thakur and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Prithvi Raj Chouhan were among the dignitaries present in the Grand opening ceremony.

This annual competition does not only favors the players but also the match referees and officials. This year, a total of 303 International and 1089 national officials will be seeing through the games with more than 1500 volunteers powering them across 9 cities in MP.

Athletics, Wrestling, Boxing, Shooting, Kayaking and Canoeing, Rowing, Volleyball, Judo, Swimming, Basketball, Weightlifting, Table tennis, Kabaddi, Football, Tennis, Badminton, Hockey, Gymnastics, Kalaripayattu, Mallakhamb, Yogasana, Kho-kho, Archery, Fencing, Cycling, Thang-ta and Gatka.
