The Local Italy

Juventus, also known as The Old Lady, is an Italian professional Football club. They participate in the Serie A, Coppa Italia and the European cup.

HISTORY

Juventus was formed 121 years ago when a small town named Turin during the 1870s started to establish factories which resulted in a flow of a lot of wealth in the hands of the local merchants and hence, the first Turin Football club Juventus was established on 1st November, 1897.

The Juventus players once wore black and white stripe jersey which had an interesting background related to England and one of the first Football clubs there, that is Notts County.

At the beginning of the 29th century, the club needed to replace their washed-out pink shirts, hence one of their English players arranged the shirts which were the replicas of Notts Country.

Club Ownership

The current ownership of Juventus is held by the Agnelli Family which is an Italian multi-industry business dynasty founded by Giovanni Agnelli. The family has held the ownership of the club since 1923.

Since the club’s origins, the club has changed its home ground four times. Currently, the Juventus Stadium is serving as the club’s home ground. The estimated net worth of the club is 837 million euros.
