Jonathan Wells is an Australian cricketer. He is a right-handed middle-order batter who also bowls right-arm medium pace. He was born on 13 August 1988 (age 38) in Hobart, Tasmania. He is best known as one of the most experienced players in the history of the Big Bash League (BBL).
Wells began his first-class career with Tasmania. He was cut from Tasmania's list at the end of the 2014-15 season and moved to Western Australia for more chances. He earned a full Western Australia contract for the 2016-17 season.

Latest update (2024-2026):
Wells re-signed with Melbourne Renegades for BBL|14 (2024-25), his 14th BBL season and third with the Renegades. At the time of that deal in July 2024, he had played 134 BBL matches and scored 2,955 runs at an average of 33.58. Only Chris Lynn and Aaron Finch had scored more BBL runs at that point.
During BBL|14 he hurt his hamstring in a Renegades win against Perth Scorchers, and the club brought in young batter Oliver Peake as his replacement. When the Renegades named their list for BBL|15 in June 2025, Wells was among the uncontracted players.
