According to reports, the Spurs have informed Real Madrid that they would like to reconsider Bale for a fee around £45-54m but that they could only afford to pay half of his £600,000 weekly wages. The conjecture, however, was further intensified on Tuesday when Spur’s official twitter account wished Bale a happy birthday, followed by a video of five of his best goals for the club.

Reports also mentioned hat Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy was in conversation with Real Madrid for a move for Bale. However, Jonathan Barnett has denied the rumors saying that his client is ‘happy’ at his current club.jonathan barnett football agent

“At the moment he’s going to be playing football this evening for Real Madrid. He’s got another two-and-a-half-year on his contract and he’ll be fine,” he said.

Rumors also stated that he might go out on loan so as to get more playing time, but again Barnett was quick to deny the reports.

“No loan move. He’s one of the best players on earth, why would one of the best players on earth go somewhere on loan? That’s ridiculous,” he added.

“That’s what I’ve always said [that he will fulfill his contract] and never deviated, that’s where I’m going to stay. Things could change but loans are ridiculous.

“There are not many clubs who can afford him anyway. He’s happy, he’ll play for Real Madrid and hopefully win a couple more things with them.”

Speaking of Jonathan Barnett himself, when asked if there is any probability of him returning to Spurs, he responded saying, “I’m an Arsenal supporter thank you very much,”
