Ireland Squad for T20 World Cup 2024
Ireland’s team announced its team for the T20 World Cup. The command of this team has been handed over to experienced Paul Sterling. Paul Sterling is also the opening batsman of his team.
The Ireland squad includes experienced players like Paul Stirling, Andrew Balbirnie and George Dockrell. Josh Little, who plays for Gujarat Titans in IPL, has also got a chance. He will play the entire season in IPL and will join the Ireland team after IPL. In the Ireland team, most of the players who took part in the series against Afghanistan have got a chance.

Paul Stirling was made the captain of the Ireland squad last year. He replaced Andrew Balbirnie. Ireland coach Henrique Malan said that this is a team that we have slowly built and tested over the last 18 months. The skills we need to cover are there, although we have allowed Josh Little to remain in the IPL until his team finishes their campaign.
Ireland’s team is in Group A in the World Cup. In this group, there are teams from India, Pakistan, USA and Canada.

Currently, Ireland’s team is ranked 11th in the world in T20. Ireland head coach Henrique Malan said that we have to play many T20 matches this month before the World Cup. We have seven games in 15 days which will be very helpful for us in our preparation for the World Cup. He said that although we will not play these seven matches as warm-up matches at all. We will try to win as many of these matches as possible. Henrique Malan said that the T20 format is a fast style game. We have to learn the art of playing according to the speed of this game.
