IPL 2025: LSG vs PBKS – Which Team will be the Winner Today?

The Indian Premier League, IPL 2025 begun on a jovial note, and with each passing day, the matches are only getting more exciting. As the match number 13 sees its day, the Lucknow Super Giants will play their first home game by hosting the Punjab Kings at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Tuesday, April 1.

Both teams are coming into this game on the back of a win. While the PBKS, led by former IPL winning captain Shreyas Iyer won a high-scoring thriller against Gujarat Titans, the LSG hammered the giants Sunrisers Hyderabad in their home turf too.

LSG, though had lost their first game against the Delhi Capitals, bounced back in style. Meanwhile, PBKS will play just their second match of the 18th season and will hope to continue their winning streak. As per popular opinion, both the teams have some of the best players in the world in their lineup.

While LSG has the likes of explosive batsmen like Rishabh Pant, Nicholas Pooran and Mitchell Marsh, PBKS has world class bowlers such as Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Glenn Maxwell, and others.

In these games LSG has confidently had an upper hand with three wins to their name. PBKS has sealed a victory only once and they would be looking to improve this record.

In term of the pitch and the cricket stadium, the surface has been favorable to the spinners over the years. It is slow, and hence the slower bowlers get some grip and turn from the surface.

The stadium has relatively longer boundaries considering the Indian standards. Spinners would love to make use of it by tossing the ball up frequently. Batters must work towards rotating the strike in the middle overs, to put up runs on the board.

All in all, this match will be an equal leveler and both the young captains – Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer will go head on to claim the much needed two points for their team.
