Inaugural champions of SA T20 League 2023 Sunrisers Easterncape captain Aiden Markram who was named as the man in charge for IPL outfit Sunrisers Hyderabad disclosed major information ahead of the 2023 edition of IPL starting from March-end after the WPL.
Markram led SRH’s sister club Sunrisers Easterncape to win the first ever SA T20 League which is the revamped version of South Africa’s domestic T20 tournament. The Orange army defeated Pretoria Capitals in the final by 4 wickets with Markram playing a major role in the trophy win.
The South African All-rounder finished the tournament as the highest run scorer with 366 runs and fell short by only 25 runs to become the highest scorer. He was picked by SRH during the Mini-Auction last year for 2.6 Crore INR and following his remarkable performance in SA T20 league, Sunrisers Hyderabad trusted him and gave him the honors.

Markarm will succeed Kiwi Kane Williamson as the next SRH captain and the South-Indian franchise will be hoping to win the IPL title for the first time since 2016. The David Warner led SRH team won its 2nd IPL title and the Aussie opening batter became only the 3rd foreign captain to win the league.
Meanwhile, Aiden Markram provided a major update on who should become the next SRH vice-captain and he named the 2 contenders.
“That’s a tough one. I played under Mayank at Kings. He and I got on really well. And if you look at the amount of experience someone like Bhuvi has, it is almost irreplaceable. So, to pick one would be difficult right now but I think both of them would nail it certainly.”
