IPL 2023: Match between Gujarat and Chennai will mark the beginning of marquee event on 31st March 2023

IPL 2023 matches would be played in a variety of Indian locales, bringing the biggest T20 League back with a bang.

The first match will take place in Chennai between the reigning champions Gujarat Titans and the Chennai Super Kings.

The full schedule will be revealed in a separate article, however as of right now, only the league stage matchups have been announced.

The league stage will begin on March 31, 2023, and go until May 21, 2023. Playoffs will be announced at a later date.

Based on reports in different media outlets, it will be last IPL season for MS Dhoni who wanted to retire at his home stadium with the tournament being hosted all over India it will be perfect time for Dhoni to hang his boots as they have already picked Ben Stokes so the latter already had an experience of leading England Test team so he might be the right candidate to make that advance switch.
