Delhi Capitals, who once seemed to seal the spot in the playoffs like a walk in the park, have started to bottle the start they have got. With 14 points in nine games, everyone believed that they will definitely top the table within in no time. However, the Indian Premier League is a great leveller and has proved why it is one of the toughest leagues to play in. Delhi Capitals have lost three in a row and now are facing a situation to win at least one in the next two games.

When things are going bad, fate decides much more to mess it up. Similarly, when things are becoming tough for Delhi Capitals, they are up against the in-form Mumbai Indians at Dubai International Stadium. The team has to get their act together if they are to win the game. In the last league game, Delhi Capitals face Royal Challengers Bangalore who is also facing a crisis situation after losing two in a row.

In the previous game, the strongest part of the unit, the bowling was thrashed by Wriddhiman Saha and David Warner. Both of them went berserk against Kagiso Rabada and Tushar Deshpande which is the cause of concern for the captain. Also, the worrying form of Rishabh Pant comes at a bad time for the skipper. He will have to sit with the coach Ricky Ponting and sort out before they lock their horns on Saturday.

Here are the top three picks for Delhi Capitals when they face MI at Dubi International Stadium:

#1) Kagiso Rabada

The Protean will like to forget the previous game which Delhi Capitals played against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Kagiso Rabada not only went for 51 runs in four overs but also went wicketless against the Orange Army. David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha pounced on the young South African bowler who couldn’t even redeem himself in the death overs.

In the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League, Kagiso Rabada went wicketless for the first time in his previous game and will like to make up for the lost time in the league. Against a great batting line-up of Mumbai Indians, Rabad will be one of the top three picks for Delhi Capitals.

#2) Axar Patel

The wily left-arm allrounder has filled in the boots of Amit Mishra who used to provide one dimension. Amit Mishra was ruled out for the rest of the tournament with an injury but Axar Patel has replaced him successfully. He has not only applied the brakes on the opposition with wickets but has also scored some crucial runs. In the current edition of IPL, Axar Patel has eight wickets in 11 games at an economy of 6.13.

Mumbai Indians have a great batting line-up and the player has to step up for his team if they are to qualify. Axar Patel will be one of the top three picks for Delhi Capitals at Dubai International Stadium.

#3) Shikhar Dhawan

The southpaw has become one of the mainstays in Delhi Capitals’ batting line-up since his arrival. Not only with his bat, but the player has also impressed the fans with the ball too. Shikhar Dhawan has 471 runs in 12 games along with two centuries to his name. The player will hope to keep his fine form continuing against Mumbai Indians on Saturday.

MI have a strong bowling line-up and it requires the batsmen to lay a strong foundation if they are to achieve big against the table toppers. Shikhar Dhawan will be one of the top three picks for DC against MI on Saturday.
