India Women and their teams who will take part in The Hundred upcoming season

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has granted NOC to four women players including the likes of Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Deepti Sharma to take part in the inaugural edition of The Hundred which will be organized by the England and Wales Cricket Board(ECB).

However, no Indian men player will take part in the tournament which will be held in England.

In the women’s edition, Kaur, Mandhana, Sharma, and Rodrigues are set to play for Manchester Originals, Southern Brave, London Spirit, and Northern Superchargers respectively.

However, as per the reports from ESPN Cricinfo, Shafali Varma who is considered as one of the brightest prospects for India could be considered as a potential replacement player.

The national women’s team will also compete against England for three ODI and as many T20I starting from June 27th to July 15th 2021.

For the upcoming T20 League, overseas players who are also the top performers for their respective national side including the likes of Marizanne Kapp, Dane van Niekerk, and Ellyse Perry, among others.

Taking about the individual performance of the national team they have lost the recently concluded T20 and ODI series against South Africa in India.

Also, BCCI needs to pay attention to organize women’s IPL T20 challenge on a frequent basis as it will empower Indian women’s cricket for sure.
