The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is just upon us and all the teams are preparing for it in full flow. The Australian Women’s team, who are the defending champions are preparing a little extra because defending the title is more difficult than winning it. The tournament is scheduled to begin on 10th February 2023 where the hosts South Africa Women will take on Sri Lanka Women. The marquee event will be played in 3 South African cities of Cape Town, Paarl, and Gqeberha over a period of 17 days.

The current Numero Uno batter in ICC Women’s T20I Batting rankings and the ICC Women’s T20I Player of the year 2022 Tahlia McGrath is the player everyone would be looking forward to as far as the Australian camp is concerned.

She has become an integral part of the Aussie Women’s cricket team in the past year. She contributes to all three aspects of the game and that is one big reason for her growth on the cricket field. She was also a part of the ICC Women’s T20I Team of the year.

Tahlia McGrath scored 435 in the 2022 calendar year in just 11 innings at a whopping strike rate of 145. Her average was more than 60 and her highest score was 91*. She also took 13 wickets in just 10 innings at an economy of 6.95 runs per over which is considered very good in the shortest format of the game.

This Australian all-rounder is still young and is just starting out. She can be the x-factor player for the Kangaroos in the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and can play a huge role if they want to defend their title.
