“I don’t understand the noise around Pitch” angry Rohit Sharma responded to question from Australian Journalist

Rohit Shamra and Indore Pitch

The third Test match between Australia and India, which just ended, has garnered the most attention in the sports community.

India needs to win the last Test match in Gujarat in order to advance as another finalist in the World Test Championship after suffering a crushing 9-wicket loss to the Kangaroos.

Rohit Sharma addressed the press conference post Men in Blue loss against Kangaroos for 3rd Test where variety of questions was asked to him .

When the reporter inquired about the pitch, Hitman answered “When any team plays against India, why do people speak about the pitches so much? Why isn’t the same question raised when we play in foreign environments?”

Rohit further stated “We should come up with different style when bowl is turning vividly and kudos to Nathan Lyon for bowling so tightly and doesn’t allow batters to make name for themselves.

Rohit also added that “Indian batters should bat like Iyer in these conditions with attacking instinct as we all went too much defensive which shouldn’t be strategy in these conditions.

Rohit concluded by stating that “We didn’t batted well in these conditions as we need to take accountability going further and the batsman from top order should take ownership of scoring big and stay late at the wicket is the only pathway going forward”.

Based on reports from different media outlets, ICC has already demarcated Indore pitch as “Unsuitable for playing” and awarded 3 demerit points based on the complaint shared by both captains.

India needs to come up with perfect strategy in the upcoming match in Gujarat and learn from mistakes they committed in batting to emerge as the other finalist of World Test Championship.
