“I Don’t Care What People Say”, Ravi Shastri Responds To The Trolls

Mid-Day

Ravi Shastri is the favorite person of the trolls on social media. The trolls just seem to wait for Shastri to do something which gives them an opportunity to troll him. And, to the delight of the trolls, Shastri gives them that opportunity quite often.

During the third test match in Ranchi, the head coach of the Indian cricket team was found sleeping in the dressing room while the game was on. Just as the television cameras showed Shastri sleeping, the trolls took a screenshot of that and the memes went viral all over with hilarious content.

Twitter was flooded with hashtags like drinks at will, sleeping coach, the reincarnation of Kumbhakarna, 10 crores for sleeping etc. Shastri has now responded to the trolls who have been making fun of him.

Ravi Shastri has said that the trolls can enjoy as much as they want, he doesn’t pay any attention to them. “Enjoy, Enjoy….I don’t care what people say. I don’t miss a single ball,” Shastri was quoted saying by mid-day.

Despite the criticism and trolling, there is no denying that Shastri has been one of the most successful coaches in the Indian cricket history. Under his tenure, India have reached the top of the world rankings in test cricket. The Indian cricket team is currently also topping the World Test Championship points table with 240 points.

With Shastri as coach, India won a test series in Australia last year. That was India’s first ever test series win in Australia.

India are now set to lock horns with Bangladesh on the home soil. They will play 3 T20Is and 2 test matches against the Tigers. The tour is scheduled to start from the 3rd of November with the first T20I game to be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi.

There are speculations that Virat Kohli might be rested for the T20I series as his workload in the recent times has been immense.
