Neymar Jr. has said that he is in the best form of his life since he arrived at Paris Saint-German and is all set to represent the French club in the upcoming Champions League glory.
He was transferred from Barcelona FC to Paris Saint-German with an initial amount of $262 million in the summer of 2017, in a move which sent shock-waves through the European football landscape.
Before joining the French Club, he had a successful stint with Spanish club Barcelona for four years especially his camaraderie with Lionel Messi was appreciated on and off the field.
Despite scoring 70 goals from 82 appearances for the French club, he is still not able to achieve the same feat which he claimed with the Spanish club. Injuries had impacted his career from the moment he started playing for Thomas Tuchel side.
Neymar is assured that French club will bounce back for sure in the upcoming league as the players are eagerly waiting for the next season of Champions League to regain the lost glory.
“During these three years I have acquired a lot of knowledge,” Neymar told PSG’s official website.
“I have lived through happy moments and difficult ones, especially when the injuries didn’t allow me to play.
“With the help of my team-mates, I was able to overcome them and focus on what really matters, our performances on the field which translate into titles.
“I am in my best form since I arrived in Paris, the team is like a family.We want to win the Champions League title. We will fight because we have never been so close.” He added.
Neymar has scored 61 goals for Brazil making him the third-highest goalscorer for his national team trailing behind Ronaldo and Pele. He captained Brazil to their first Olympic gold medal in men’s football at the 2016 Summer Olympics, and two years later, featured at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
